DRAKE HIGH SCHOOL EMERGENCY PLAN
Sir Francis Drake High School has an Emergency Preparedness Plan in place to ensure the safety of its student body and staff. The school has well-defined evacuation routes in the event of earthquake or fire, and a campus lockdown procedure in the event of a campus intruder. In the case of a large scale disaster, we have a Shelter-in-Place action plan to provide food, shelter and security to our campus community for a period of 72 hours. We work closely with local police and fire departments to ensure that our campus is secure, and our staff members have specific assignments for all different emergency scenarios – from routine evacuations to more extended crises.
